The Knox County Health Department provides an array of clinical services, ranging from dental care to family planning needs. While we don’t offer primary care, we have a walk-in clinic directory and a list of low-cost medical services to help you find the care you need.

Main Clinic, 140 Dameron Avenue

  • From I-275
    - Exit at Baxter Avenue; go East on Baxter to Wray Street traffic light; turn right on Wray, go 2 blocks; turn left on to Dameron Avenue; left in to patient parking lot.

West Clinic, 1028 Old Cedar Bluff

  • From I-40
    - North on Cedar Bluff Road, go approximately 1 mile to light at Weigel's; turn right on to Old Cedar Bluff; clinic is the first brick building on right.

  • From Middlebrook Pike
    - CVS is on the right, Horn of Plenty on left; turn left onto Old Cedar Bluff; clinic is on the left.

KCHD’s Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Clinic focuses on preventing the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and other communicable diseases through testing and treatment.

Helen Ross McNabb Center: Mental health, addiction treatment, social services and victim services for children, adolescents, adults and families. Info: 1-800-255-9711.

Interfaith Health Clinic: Primary, behavioral, dental and additional specialty care for working uninsured or underserved. Info: 865-546-7330.

The Kim Health Center: Primary care and dental care for working uninsured. Info: 865-577-3733. 

Planned Parenthood: Birth control, gender affirming care, HIV care, STD and pregnancy testing, prenatal and postnatal services, vaccines, breast and cervical cancer screenings. Info: 866-711-1717.

KCHD’s Travel and Immunization Clinic provides travel vaccine, childhood and adult immunizations and newborn screenings. There is an administration fee, which may be covered by insurance.

KCHD’s Tuberculosis Clinic provides services for risk assessment, diagnosis and treatment of TB including TB testing, chest x-rays, laboratory examinations, medications and hospitalization if necessary.

KCHD’s West Clinic is located at 1028 Old Cedar Bluff Road and provides services including routine immunizations for adults and children, STI testing, family planning, TB skin tests for students and newborn screenings.
