Knox County routinely hosts workshops, sales, activities and events that are open to the public and often FREE to the public. Below are a list of upcoming Knox County Stormwater events:

  • The inspiring film, Hidden Rivers, will have two showings in Knoxville.

    April 30th at 6:30pm @ Central Cinema - 1205 N Central St, Knoxville, TN 37917

May 16th at 7:00pm @ Scruffy City Hall - 18 Market Square, Knoxville, TN 37902

Knox County Stormwater Management and Tennessee Valley Authority in cooperation of Conservation Fisheries, Inc. are hosting two Knoxville viewings of the Hidden Rivers film by Freshwaters Illustrated. This 1 hour length film features several Southeast US agencies working with rare species within our rivers. Knoxville based Conservation Fisheries will be at both events for a brief introduction to the film. Film makers Jeremy Monroe and David Herasimtschuk of Freshwaters Illustrated will be at each event. Tickets are a suggested donation of $5. All proceeds will go to Conservation Fisheries, a nonprofit with the goal to restore fish populations that have been eliminated because of pollution or habitat destruction. Tickets can be purchased here

  • Join the Water Quality Forum for the 3rd Annual Cheers to Clean Water Celebration on June 9th, 2019. This is a unique event with support from Knox County Stormwater Management, University of Tennessee Stormwater Dept, and the City of Knoxville Solid Waste Dept. Participants are encouraged to bring a kayak, canoe, or paddle board and take part in a competitive race, or just float and enjoy the Tennessee river. Following the float is a celebration in the name of clean water at Suttree Landing Park, with craft libations, bluegrass music, raffle prizes, and educational activities for adults and kids alike. All proceeds from this event benefit the Water Quality Forum, a nonprofit coalition of diverse partners working together to keep our waters in East Tennessee clean. A portion of the proceeds go directly to WaterFest, the Water Quality Forum’s largest annual education event. Thank you to our sponsors: Erosion Supply, Waste Connections, Fulghum, Macindoe, & Associates Inc., Visit Knoxville, Waste Management, Keep the TN River Beautiful, and the East Tennessee Whitewater Club.
