Wetlands

Wetlands are areas of land that are perpetually saturated. Wetlands absorb and slow floodwaters, collect sediment and filter pollutants for a cleaner water supply.

Installing a wetland on your residential property in an area with saturated, poorly-drained soils may be a good solution for unmanageable drainage issues. Wetlands provide habitat for numerous native plant and animal species in East Tennessee and can serve as a beautiful amenity to your property when installed and maintained correctly.
