Cost is determined by services provided. We can bill your insurance. Otherwise, services are billed by an income-based sliding scale. You will be seen regardless of your ability to pay.

The CDC Clinic is open at the main health department location from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. every weekday with extended hours to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. No appointment is needed, but we recommend that you arrive an hour prior to closing to give time for registration and your visit.

  • Routine STI screening in CDC includes testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV, and Hepatitis C. We can also assess for genital warts (HPV), genital herpes (HSV) outbreaks, trichomoniasis, lice and scabies.
  • Our Viral Hepatitis Nurse Navigator can get you connected with Hepatitis C treatment providers who accept clients with or without insurance.
  • CDC is NOT able to test for or treat mycoplasma genitalium, bacterial vaginosis, vaginal yeast, or urinary tract infections not related to an STI. We do not perform blood tests for herpes infection.
  • If you and your partners waited for sex until after treatment or your test results were negative and you still have symptoms, you should be seen by another provider for further assessment and treatment.

  • Untreated STIs can cause issues like pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, cardiac disease, liver disease, and other health issues.
  • STI's - particularly syphilis - can cause harm to an unborn baby including low birth weight, preterm labor and birth defects.

On the first Wednesday of each month (excluding August), KCHD will open at 11 a.m. due to monthly in-service. The 2024 in-service dates include Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4.
