Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency Violations (TWRA)
- Fishing without a License and Boat Registration are examples of TWRA Violations that do not require an appearance in court. For example, if before your court date at the time you pay your court costs you provide the Clerk proof of a valid renewed boat registration or a valid renewed fishing license or proof of purchase of a flotation device, then your citation will be dismissed and you do not have to appear in court.
- Hunting over Bait and Hunting during a Closed Season are examples of TWRA Violations that do require a mandatory appearance in court.
If you fail to appear in court and your citation is not paid in full, an Attachment (warrant) will issue for your arrest, even for minor offenses like a life jacket violation. (Pay or appear!)
