The Knox County Clerk maintains five satellite offices for your convenience along with the old Knox County Courthouse location downtown. These offices offer various services but all are capable of renewing Knox County vehicle registrations, issuing and processing notary applications and marriage license applications as well as business license applications.

Other offerings such as Renewal of a Tennessee DL and photo ID's are available at the Knox County Courthouse, East Office, Cedar Bluff, and Halls ONLY. Passports can be done at the Knox County Courthouse, East, North Knox/Halls and Cedar Bluff offices ONLY.

All offices with the exception of East are open to the public from 8-4:30 M-F. The only exception is the East office is open from 9-5:30 M-F. The East office also has a drive thru for renewals and disabled placards only.

Note: While we aim to provide a convenient and efficient service to all Knox County residents, the County Clerk's Office reserves the right to stop accepting applications for any service before closing time if the demand exceeds our ability to process applications before our scheduled transaction submission.

If you wish to get married at the Clerk’s Office, you must call the Knox County Courthouse Office at (865) 215-2385 and make an appointment to have your ceremony performed.
