Michael W. Moyers – Biography

Michael W. Moyers graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1987. He joined the Knox County Law Director’s Office in 1988 under Law Director Dale Workman. Mike was elected Knox County Law Director in 2000, and served in that capacity until 2006, when he was elected Chancellor for the 6th Judicial District (Knox County). He served in that role until 2021 when he retired from the bench. After spending a year in private practice with the firm of Bernstein, Stair and McAdams, he returned to serve in the Knox County Law Director’s office in January 2022. Mike is also a Rule 31 listed mediator.
