WIC offers a variety of healthy foods that can be personalized to your individual needs. The specific foods are chosen to help provide important vitamins and minerals and support healthy growth. WIC foods are purchased at most large and many small grocery stores throughout Tennessee. Tennessee WIC food benefits are provided using an EBT (electronic benefits) card with a secure PIN used at point of purchase.
A child’s WIC food package has an approximate value of $40 each month. For many women and most infants, the value is much higher. WIC benefits help ease your family’s budget for things like gas for the car, diapers for the baby, or new shoes for the toddler. If you receive SNAP benefits, you automatically qualify for WIC benefits. This means you can stretch your food budget even further!
