Emergency Preparedness Division – Planning for Specific Groups

The link below is a calendar geared to help you come up with a supply kit for you and your family. These tools will give you the basics you might need to take care of your family in the event of an emergency.

Preparing for emergencies is an essential activity for businesses.  A business continuity plan will help prepare your business to continue daily activities in the event a large portion of your employees are unable to attend work due to a disaster. For more information about preparing your business, go to https://www.ready.gov/business.

The intent of the guide and plan below is to help the childcare centers in our community plan for disasters and be able to respond to an emergency.

This information was taken from a brochure created by a group of older adults who experienced a two-week power outage when a massive ice storm hit. The group was unprepared for such a disaster and emerged from their situation dedicated to researching and discussing disaster preparedness information for senior citizens. This document contains the results of their findings.

Whether you are deaf, hard of hearing or latent deaf, there are specific things that you need to consider as you prepare for a disaster. This guide will help you start thinking of the steps needed and help prepare you for a disaster.

This document is intended as a starting point or template for faith-based organization leaders in developing a site-specific plan for their organization’s property. Every organization will have different needs and should adapt these recommendations to fit the needs of their particular site.
