The state of Tennessee began certifying Recovery Courts in 2008 (then called Drug Courts). The basis of the certification was strict adherence to the 10 Key Components and their benchmarks as defined by the National Association of Drug Court Professionals. The Recovery Court Policy and Procedure manual was a document used which addressed how the Recovery Court fulfilled the majority of the certification requirements.
The Knox Recovery Court was one of the first Tennessee to be certified. Below is a link for the latest version of the Policy and Procedure Manual. The Manual was accepted in 2008 by the certificating committee without further revision. The manual may have some revisions in the future when it is time to become recertified.
