Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs is pleased to announce School Supply Slam thanks to the collaborative commitment of several local businesses, non-profit organizations, and faith-based partners. Throughout summer there will be numerous opportunities across the county to access school supplies. The events begin with School Mania, on Friday, July 26th from 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m., in the parking lot of the Jacob Building at Chilhowee Park.
On Saturday, July 27th the faith-based organizations listed below will be hosting back-to-school events providing school supplies and additional resources directly within our communities in hopes of alleviating transportation barriers. Additionally, the Knoxville Area Urban League will culminate the back-to-school week with their Shoes for Schools on Saturday, August 3rd from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., inside the Jacob Building at Chilhowee Park.
This county-wide collaboration seeks to ensure all Knox County Students are equipped with the supplies they need to begin their school year. Please visit the links below for more information on each host site event. We hope to see you soon!
