The deadline to pay 2014 Knox County property tax is February 28th, 2015
We will accept mailed payments that are postmarked by 2/28/2015.
Due to inclement weather and the 28th falling on a weekend, we will be accepting 2014 tax payments on Monday, 3/02 without penalty if paid in person at one of our offices or thru our online system only.
Welcome to the Knox County Trustee website
In case of inclement weather, please go to www.knoxcounty.org to check for changes to our office hours or closing notices.
Dear Knox County Taxpayer,
It is a great privilege and honor to have become your Knox County Trustee effective September 2nd. It is my goal to provide the citizens of Knox County with the highest level of customer service while reducing costs to the taxpayer. As in years past, you can still pay your taxes at any of our 5 convenient satellite locations. These locations are listed on this website.
We will continue to work with several of the local banks to accept tax payments. The banks will accept full payments on current taxes only. The participating banks do require that you provide them with a tax statement. For your convenience we can also sign you up for monthly bank drafts. This can be done by calling the main office or by visiting one of our satellite offices.
Information about the senior tax relief and tax freeze programs can be found on this website by clicking in the information section. There is also a disabled veterans program as well. If you believe that you may qualify please contact our office to get further information.
If you have any questions or concerns about your Knox County property tax I would encourage you to contact me or my staff. You have my commitment that honesty and integrity will be at the core of everything we do in the Trustee’s Office.
Ed Shouse, Knox County Trustee
