Defendant Convicted after Impregnating Child Twice

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allens Child Abuse Unit obtained convictions against a child rapist who impregnated a child twice, once when she was ten and once when she was eleven. Trendell Ray Brady, 34, was convicted of two counts of Rape of a Child. At a sentencing hearing to be held on July 20, prosecutors will seek the maximum penalty, eighty years in prison....more


Child Rapist Receives Fifty-Year Sentence without Parole

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen's Child Abuse Unit obtained a fifty-year sentence against a man who sexually assaulted a nine-year-old victim. Jonathan Mitchell Cooper, 31, was convicted of three counts of Rape of a Child, three counts of Incest, and one count of Aggravated Sexual Battery. Repeat DUI Offender Sent to Prison for Ten Years

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen's DUI Unit obtained a ten-year sentence against a man with fourteen prior DUI convictions in five jurisdictions. Larry Ray Perryman, 64, was convicted of Driving Under the Influence, Sixth or Subsequent Offense. Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen's Felony Drug Unit obtained a conviction today against a drug dealer caught with a kilogram of crystal methamphetamine. Joshua Leroy Cooper, 33, was convicted of Possession with Intent to Sell Methamphetamine in a Drug Free Zone. Under the terms of the agreement, Cooper must serve twenty years in prison without the possibility of parole....more


Child Rapist Receives Maximum Sentence

Prosecutors in DA Charme Allen's Criminal Court Division obtained the maximum forty-year sentence for a man who raped a six-year-old child. In September, John P. Baskins, 24, pled guilty to Rape of a Child and Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. At a sentencing hearing today, prosecutors argued for the maximum sentence, and Judge Bob McGee agreed, ordering Baskins to serve forty years in prison without the possibility of parole....more
