Effective May 18th, 2013, passports will be by appointment only on Saturdays. Appointments will be made in 15 minute increments, and each applicant must have their own appointment; e.g., a family of four will need four 15 minute appointments. If you are late, you may either reschedule the appointment or you may wait in the lobby until all scheduled appointments have been completed. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fit you in if you are late for your appointment.

Payment Information
The Knox County Clerk's Office accepts cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). We cannot accept credit cards for Drivers License and Passport services. A fee of 2.5% is assessed by the electronic processing company on all credit and debit card transactions. This fee does not go to the Knox County Clerk's Office. When you submit a check, you are authorizing electronic movement of funds from your account to the Knox County Clerk's account for payment of your transaction. There is a $30.00 NSF fee on all returned checks.
