Adult Primary Care

Beginning Monday, April 2, 2007, Knox County Health Department will be partnering with Cherokee Health Systems to provide Adult Primary Care medical services. Patients will receive medical care at Cherokee Health's Center City offices at 2018 Western Avenue in Knoxville. (Directions are provided below.)

Knox County Health Department is excited about our partnership with Cherokee Health Systems. Their medical offices are brand new with all the latest equipment and a very caring staff of health care professionals. Patients will also be able to get medical care, social services assistance, mental health services and prescriptions filled all in one place.

Important Note to Our Indigent Care Clients: The services you receive through the Indigent Care Program will not change. You will still have to qualify through Knox County Social Services Department, but you can do that at Cherokee Health Systems. If you have any questions, please call 215-5400.

Directions from Knox County Health Department to Cherokee Health Systems:

Turn right out of the parking lot toward Wray Street (away from Central Avenue).
Turn left onto Wray Street.
Turn right onto Bernard Avenue.
Turn left onto University Avenue
Turn right onto Western Avenue.
2018 Western Avenue will be ahead on the left.
