KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Knox County Parks and Recreation will open its splash pads for the 2018 season on Saturday, May 5.
Splash pads are automated water playgrounds for kids of all ages. Knox County’s splash pads are located at three parks: Carl Cowan Park, New Harvest Park and Powell Station Park.
"We have three fun splash pads and all of them provide an excellent opportunity for families to enjoy being outside and to escape the summer heat,” said Joe Inman, superintendent of parks and trails for the department. “We want everyone to have a fun, safe time, so come on out.”
Use of the splash pads is free and open, weather permitting, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning May 5 through Sept. 9.
