On Nov. 18, the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association announced the recipients of the 2015 TRPA Awards Program. The event took place during TRPA's 64th annual conference, which was held in Kingsport, Tenn.
Knox County's Senior Director of Parks and Recreation, Doug Bataille, was awarded the Fellow Award, which is the highest award TRPA can confer on an individual. This award recognizes professional members who have made outstanding contributions to the recreation field throughout their career.
Also recognized with a Four Star Individual Service Award was Roy Arthur from the Knox County Stormwater Management Department. Roy was nominated by Knox County Parks & Recreation and Legacy Parks for his work on developing a stormwater demonstration park in Knox County.
