Knox County's Senior Director of Parks and Recreation, Doug Bataille, was awarded the Fellow Award, which is the highest award TRPA can confer on an individual. This award recognizes professional members who have made outstanding contributions to the recreation field throughout their career.

Also recognized with a Four Star Individual Service Award was Roy Arthur from the Knox County Stormwater Management Department. Roy was nominated by Knox County Parks & Recreation and Legacy Parks for his work on developing a stormwater demonstration park in Knox County.

TRPA is a non-profit professional society of approximately 800 individual and agency members organized in 1952 as a leader in supporting highly effective professionals to achieve healthy, livable communities. TRPA exists to strengthen and unite those committed to the benefits of parks and recreation. For more information visit www.trpa.net.
