Our Emergency Preparedness department has created a calendar to help you get organized. It guides you through the process to create a three to seven day emergency supply kit for a family of four.

After 9/11, health departments across the U.S. took on the additional role of emergency planning to protect public health in the event of a large-scale medical disaster. KCHD's Emergency Preparedness department enhances community preparedness by encouraging and supporting readiness planning efforts from individual households to large corporations.
