Good Morning Commissioners,
The following items will NOT be on the November consent agenda.
All Honorary Resolutions will be sent forward to the BOC meeting for approval.
Schools item 14. This is the item related to the lease agreement with Knox County Rescue. Glad to see the partnership here. Is this an expansion of Knox County Rescue Services? Is this going to be a satellite location? Is it a move from another location?
Engineering item 27. Please provide the name of the vendor for the contract. Jim, when you provide this information, please also share a brief overview of the scope of services. Are they going to be a vendor helping with sinkholes evaluation?
IT Department item 32. Zach is this an expansion of services or updating the contract to reflect the sale of Sword and Shield to Sunstone Partners back in May which lead to the new name of Avertium?
Item 34 – Resolution from Commissioner Biggs regarding Bi-Directional Amplifiers.
Item 35 – First Reading – Ordinance regarding microbreweries. Sorry, there will be no samples at the work session or BOC Meeting.
Discussion Items:
Charter Review Committee. Please take a moment to click on the attachments for this item prior to the meeting.
Discussion regarding funding for Big Ears Festival. Last year you may recall Commission approved a resolution for a contract between Big Ears and Visit Knoxville. Having spoken to Kim Bumpas and the Arts and Cultural Alliance, both believe it would be a better fit to have the contract moved from Visit Knoxville to Arts and Cultural Alliance. Similar situation with Knox Heritage, which had had a direct contract in prior years budget.
Discussion item regarding Western Avenue and Oak Ridge Highway Corridor Study.
Discussion item regarding regulations for backyard poultry.
Discussion item regarding information from the TCCA on schools and the economy.
Please let me know if you would like to pull any additional items from consent.
Chairman Nystrom
