KNOXVILLE (Oct. 31, 2013) --  Here's a list of some of the Veterans Day-focused event that are planned througout Knox County over the next few weeks:

Christian Academy of Knoxville

(on Dutchtown between Cedar Bluff and Pellissippi Parkway)
CAK will have a ceremony with Medal of Honor recipient Joe Marm. in their gym, One hour program.  RSVP kgarner@cakmail.org

November 8 (Friday), 11 a.m.
World's Fair Park
2014 Medal of Honor Convention flag raising ceremony at East Tennessee Veterans Memorial,  there is a free lunch afterwards, but you should RSVP ASAP Joleen@etvma.org

November 9 (Saturday), 8 a.m.
Help needed at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery Lyons View to place flags at headstones.

November 11 (Monday), 9 a.m. line up/10:40 a.m.
Route travels along Gay Street

88th Annual Veterans Day Parade steps off 1040am.  Presented by American Legion, Post 2

31st Annual Veterans Day Awards and Recognition Luncheon
