We apologize for the problems you are having and will help you the best way we can. First let us check a few things. The script below will check your system to see if it is up to par to use this system.

Here is the browser you are using. We have checked this system with all Mozilla browsers (Firefox, Mozilla, Safari) and they passed with flying colors. Internet Explorer works with version 6.0 and higher. These are the mainstream browsers that we have checked for compatibility.

Your Browser is -> Default Browser
Your Browser Version is -> 0
Your Javascript is OFF
Your Computer's Operating System is -> unknown

Now let us check for Javascript problems. Javascript is used on the tax search to improve speed and usability. This improvement helps everybody in the end. Number one reason is bandwidth or how fast your Internet connection is. This system uses considerably less bandwidth. If we decrease the amount of data being transmitted then this makes searches faster no matter what kind of connection you have. So lets start.

First you see the word "Click Here" below. If you do not see the word click below there is a problem with your browser. If your browser is compliant with above specs then could be a more serious problem with your computer. Skip to bottom for troubleshooting your problems.

This is probably the single most problematic area out of all the other problems. Most problems above can be solved with a simple browser upgrade. This is totally different. In a world full of firewalls this becomes a problem for most users. The next test will check for connectivity between your computer and our servers. You may be able to surf to our website but some firewalls block what is called "http" request with no header information. Click "Start" below. You should get a response word of "SUCCESS" and only that word. If you get anything else other than "SUCCESS" you have a firewall problem. If you never get a response then your firewall is completely blocking the communication.

Okay we have checked all aspects of browser problems. If you still have problems and your browser has passsed all of the test above and still doesn't work then send us an email and we will help you with any problems Click Here.

Most of the problems that could happen above can be remedied by making sure you have the latest version of your browser. To check your browser version just look at the top of this article. The newest version of Internet Explorer is 6.0 on Windows 2000 or older versions of windows. For Windows XP or Vista you can install version 7.0 of Internet Explorer. The latest version of Firefox and Safari is 2.0. To upgrade Internet Explorer click on "Tools" at the top of your browser window and click on "Windows Update". Just follow the instructions and it will walk you through upgrading. To upgrade Firefox go to GetFirefox.com and download the latest version and install it. If your on a slow connection I recommend Firefox because it is a much faster download than Internet Explorer.

If you continue to have problems with Internet Explorer your installation of Internet Explorer could be corrupted. Reinstalling Internet Explorer or repairing Internet Explorer is beyond the scope of this help page. The easiest way to solve the problem is to just install Firefox and use it.

Javascript Turned Off? This is a very rare problem but can happen. Javascript is ON on all modern browsers and can't be turned OFF. If you find Javascript turned OFF on your browser then either your browser installation is corrupted or your on an enterprise network and the enterprise tech department have disabled javascript and only they can turn it back on.

I can't find my property? The property tax search looks different now because the tax system has been upgraded. You can not expect to find your property the way you use to. Everything is different. If you can not find your property try searching by the street name alone like instead of "Oran Rd" try "Oran" under "street address" search . If you still can find your property you may have to call the Knox County Trustee to find your correct property id.
