PARK VOLS

Knox County Parks and Recreation has a variety of volunteer opportunities available for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to participate in the maintenance and protection of our parklands.  Children and youth groups are encouraged to participate in many of the volunteer activities, either independently or with supervision from adult volunteers.

In addition to the obvious benefit to our parks, trails, and events, volunteers become more aware of their environment, gain knowledge of local plants and wildlife, acquire valuable work experience and have input in decisions about park facilities and improvements.
You, or your group, can be a valuable asset in providing safe and enjoyable use of our county parks in the following ways:

Resource Management
Litter removal
Trail upkeep
Planting, pruning and gardening
Invasive plant control
Maintenance observation

Special Projects
Special events crew
Park improvement projects
Golf course events
Sporting events
Volunteer Administration
