Knox County’s Zoning Ordinance exists to establish zone districts (established by the Metropolitan Planning Commission) within community and regulate the use of such properties within those zone districts. The Ordinance also requires zoning permits for the construction and use of buildings and premises within the zone districts and provides for the adjustment and enforcement of the zoning regulations, as well as penal ties for the violation of these guidelines.
