Background:   Knox County is exploring the feasibility of developing an expanded senior center to serve Northwest Knox County and the Town of Farragut.  There is currently no senior center in the area of Powell, Karns, Solway, Amherst or Cedar Bluff.  The current Frank Strang facility is overcrowded and has inadequate parking facilities.  Knox County wants to find out if we could better serve our senior citizens with a larger senior facility in a more central location that would offer expanded programming and have more adequate parking.
