(Knoxville, TN) Knox County Public Library is pleased to welcome a prehistoric emissary from Walking with Dinosaurs ‹ The Arena Spectacular. Baby T will visit the East Tennessee History Center next week to preview six full-length performances of WALKING WITH DINOSAURS‹The Arena Spectacular on April 30, May 1 and 2, at Thompson Boling Arena.
The "live" Baby T-Rex makes an appearance at the History Center at 4 p.m. Children and their families are invited to experience firsthand one of the smaller dinosaurs featured in the spectacular theatrical show based on the award-winning BBC Television series. Matthew Rimmer, WWD spokesperson for the North American Tour, will be on hand to answer questions about the Baby T-Rex and Walking with Dinosaurs. And the Knox County Public Library will offer reading guides for visitors wanting to learn more about dinosaurs.
Attendees can register to win a family four-pack of tickets to the opening night performance of Walking with Dinosaurs as well as a backstage meet and greet.
All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult when visiting the museum.

Ten species are represented from the entire 200-million-year reign of the dinosaurs. The show includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous. The largest of them, the Brachiosaurus is 36 feet tall, and 56 feet from nose to tail. It took a team of 50‹including engineers, fabricators, skin makers, artists and
painters, and animatronic experts took.a year to build the original production.
