KNOXVILLE (April 27, 2011) -- Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett will present his FY2011-2012 general budget proposal to the Knox County Commission and the public on Monday, May 2 at 9 a.m. in the City County Building Main Assembly Room. Immediately following the presentation, Mayor Burchett will begin a series of countywide public meetings to present his budget directly to the citizens and taxpayers of Knox County.
Some of the meeting dates, times and locations are still being confirmed, but at this time Mayor Burchett will present his budget proposal at the following public meetings:
Monday
11 a.m. – Carter Senior Center, 9040 Asheville Highway
12:15 p.m. – Halls Senior Center, 4410 Crippen Road
1:15 p.m. – Corryton Senior Center, 9331 Davis Lane
Tuesday
8 a.m. – Strang Senior Center, 109 Lovell Heights Road
9:15 a.m. – South Knox Senior Center, 6729 Martel Lane
1:45 p.m. – Karns Volunteer Fire Dept., 6616 Beaver Ridge Road
Wednesday
8:30 a.m. – Homebuilders Association of Greater Knoxville, 221 Clark Street
Thursday
8:30 a.m. – Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 102, 1216 N. Broadway Street
5:30 p.m. – Cedar Bluff Branch Library, 9045 Cross Park Drive
Friday
2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Bearden Branch Library, 100 Golf Club Road
