In an effort to promote informed decisions about health and the health of babies and families, the Knox County Health Department Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and the East Tennessee Breastfeeding Coalition will present The Incredible Baby Shower on Friday, April 17, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., in the Jacobs Building at Chilhowee Park. The event is FREE and open to the public. Parking also is free.
Exhibitors representing programs and resources across the community will be present to give new and expectant mothers important information about their families’ health. Speakers will make presentations in break-out sessions on related topics to expecting moms. The event finale includes highlighting breastfeeding with the Beautiful Breastfed Babies Showcase and a special program.At that time, drawings will be held for some wonderful door prizes. The grand prize is a co-sleeper baby bed donated by the WIC Program.
