Richard (Dick) Moran is the County's Senior Director of Information and Technology. He has served in this position since 1980. Prior to coming to Knox County, he served for three years as Project Manager for the Knoxville-Knox County Criminal Justice Information System and before that served five years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in various capacities within the technical division.
Moran serves on the Board of the Metropolitan Drug Commission and on the Advisory Board of the Knoxville-Knox County Geographic Information System and the E911 Emergency Management System. He is also an active volunteer with the CAC Mobile Meals Program.
Moran earned a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1973.
