Larry Frank
Senior Director, Knox County Public Library

Larry Frank is the County's Senior Director for the Knox County Public Library system.  He joined the Library in 2003 as the Director of Library Services.  Frank has over 20 years experiences at libraries in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, New York and Chicago.  Before that, Frank started his career as a language teacher/missionary in Japan.

Since Frank's arrival at the library, Knox County has seen a 45% increase in the number of active library cardholders.  In 2006, he was named New York Times' librarian of the year.  Frank is also listed in the Marquis' Who's Who in America and Who’s Who in the World as a major library administrator.

Frank has an AMLS Degree in Library Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts Degree in Foreign Policy from Western Michigan University.  He has also studied at the University of Wisconsin, Miami University and the Chicago Art Institute.
