THE CHAIRMAN OF THE KNOX COUNTY COMMISSION SHALL MEET WITH ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 7, 2010 AT 1:30 P.M. IN THE MAIN ASSEMBLY ROOM OF THE CITY AND COUNTY BUILDING.


THE PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING WILL BE TO CONFIRM RECEIPT OF ITEMS FOR THE JULY AGENDA OF THE KNOX COUNTY COMMISSION AND SET A FINAL AGENDA.

16.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving an agreement with the Knoxville Academy of Medicine Foundation for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds approved in the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan and the 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan in the amount of $32,000 for a Knoxville Area Project Access "KAPA" program case manager to coordinate necessary medical services for low-income, uninsured residents of Knox County.

17.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving an agreement with the Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds approved in the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan and the 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan in the amount of $18,000 to provide a dental clinic administrator and comprehensive dental care by volunteer health care professionals for 450 indigent and homeless in the Knox County Area.

18.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving an agreement with the Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds that were approved in the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan and the 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan in the amount of $20,000 for two part-time case managers to provide outreach and engagement services to 100 homeless individuals at the Lawson McGhee Public Library.  "PROJECT HOMEPAGE" will present opportunities for the homeless to move from the streets to a place of their own.

19.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving an agreement with the University of Tennessee (College of Social Work) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds that were approved in the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan and the 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan in the amount of $10,000 for a programmer to collect data on 2200 homeless individuals based on the information submitted through the Homeless Management Information System by twelve homeless service providers.
