THE CHAIRMAN OF THE KNOX COUNTY COMMISSION SHALL CONFIRM RECEIPT OF ITEMS AND SET THE FINAL APRIL AGENDA OF THE KNOX COUNTY COMMISSION AT 1:30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 2014 VIA EMAIL AND TELEPHONE CONFERENCE WITH THE COMMISSION OFFICE.

Terms for all current members of the BOE have expired. The County is represented by three (3) members and one (1) alternate, each of whom serves a two-year term.  2012/2013 County-appointed members Archie Johnson and Joe Gouffon have indicated their willingness to serve again in 2014/2015.

This item is in the 2013-14 Knox County Budget.

17.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving a donation of approximately 5 rolls of concrete cloth (valued at $4,499.25) from Superior Drainage Products for use in the culvert repairs necessary on Misty Springs Road.  The donation is offered so that the vendor can utilize the location as a sample or test area for similar projects.

18.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving a Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement with Knoxville's Community Development Corporation to provide $95,000.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds for an energy conservation project to purchase and install Energy Star rated heat pump split HVAC units at Nature’s Cove Apartment Complex. (Federally funded through HUD CDBG Program funds and no local funds will be utilized.) (DEFERRED FROM MARCH)

19.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving the 2014 Annual Action Plan (AAP) Update to the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan.  The AAP is submitted to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development as an application for funding for the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs.  The AAP describes the activities the County will undertake with the grant allocation during the program year beginning July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015.  Programs and activities described in the AAP primarily benefit low to moderate-income residents of Knox County.

20.   Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee approving a Grant Contract between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health and The Government of Knox County dba Knox County Health Department for the provision of Medical and Care Coordination for Children's Special Services in the amount of $208,500.00, for the period July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
